§ 7 USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimize our website and advertising measures.

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and contractually undertakes to take measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data.

We use the User ID function. User ID allows us to assign a unique, persistent ID to one or more sessions (and the activities within those sessions) and analyze user behavior across devices.

During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, is recorded:

Due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The recorded data is stored together with the user ID, which enables user profiles to be evaluated. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 26 months, whereby the period for deleting the user ID is reset for each new visit to our website within the period and starts to run again at this point in time. Other data is stored in aggregate form indefinitely.

The use of Google Analytics requires consent, which we have obtained via our Cookie Consent Manager. According to Art. 6 Para. 1 a DSGVO, the consent represents the legal basis for the processing of personal data, as it can occur when it is collected by web analysis tools. The data is also processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR and, if the user is a Google customer, possibly based on Art. 6 Para. 1 Para. a) or b) GDPR. We have a legitimate economic interest in adapting our website and optimizing advertising measures based on the evaluation. The provision of this data is not mandatory and not necessary for the conclusion of a contract with us.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by going to the cookie settings and changing your selection there. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation remains unaffected.
