About us

Our Story

In 1997, the Dürkopp Adler concern from Germany established in Romania a commercial company with private capital for the manufacture of industrial sewing machines and spare parts for sewing machines, with 8 employees. Initially, production started on a few machines in a production hall of the CIE Matricon company, in Târgu Mureș. Later, in 1998, a new production unit for industrial sewing machines and spare parts is opened in Sângeorgiu de Mureş, of approx. 2,000m2 in the immediate vicinity of the municipality of Târgu-Mureş.
In 2001, the second production hall of another 2,000 m2 is opened, completing the second stage of the company's development, and in March 2001, the first sewing machine manufactured by Dürkopp Adler Romania is sold, following 2 years later , in July 2003, to achieve the achievement of making the 10,000th sewing machine manufactured by Dürkopp Adler Romania. In 2004, the third production hall and the administrative building were built in Sângeorgiu de Mureș, thus completing the 3rd stage of development. The fourth production hall and the new office area was completed in 2019, covering 2230sqm.

According to the Șoimii Merceriilor Ranking, which compared almost all companies in the industry, scanning a large number of websites, the entire research being based on customer reviews, expressed in ratings, we ranked 2nd in Mures County.

Șoimii Merceriilor: "We sincerely congratulate you on this award. This is the result of your hard, systematic work, noticed by customers who expressed a positive opinion about your company. In order to get the award, there is a condition that the final score should not be less than 8 points - having a sufficient number of ratings. After such a restrictive check - more than 28,500 companies in your industry failed it. It's a clear indication of your business standing out from the competition." It's the credit of all Durkopp Adler employees! Congratulations to the whole team!
